This "work" thing consumes my life.
Jun. 1st, 2007 05:35 pmSeriously. It does. My schedule is as follows:
6:00 am: The alarm wakes me up.
6:15-ish: Be awake enough to get out of bed.
*this is where I do important morning things for about an hour*
7:12 am: Walk to the hospital so I can be there before the bus.
7:21 am: Get on the bus.
7:34 am: Get to work. (I have yet to confirm whether this means my pay time doesn't start until 7:45 or not)
8:00 am: When I'm *supposed* to start work.
*work and stuff like lunch and taking a break to go outside and walk around the company's pond thing*
4:30 pm: When I'm *supposed* to be done working.
5:00 pm: When I *really* get done working due to bus schedules.
5:07 pm: Get on the bus again.
5:20 pm: Get home.
*more than four whole hours of free time, some of which is devoted to eating*
10:00-ish: Bedtime.
This means that I am actually never around when the apartment office is open. This makes things like paying rent, turning in forms, geting visitor parking passes, and being available for them to bring me my fixed refrigerator difficult. Though I'm not complaining about the refrigerator. They gave me a new one as a placeholder. It's smaller than the real one apparently. But this one's big enough.
I don't mind being gone 10 hours a day for work. I think I'd get lonely here otherwise. George has been almost too busy to talk to me fixing up his new house, and doesn't even have time to come out for my brother's graduation party. I wish he could visit. On the other hand, getting him a parking permit seems kind of impossible. So maybe it's a good thing he can't?
Also, coding while listening to things like One Winged Angel is epic. Seriously.
