Summer stuff.
Mar. 30th, 2007 04:34 pmWell. As far as I know, IBM has decided they don't want me for the position I applied for. They're looking for someone with more DB experience. And I don't blame them. A phone call or an email saying "sorry, but we don't feel you're the best person for the position" would be appreciated. I wouldn't feel rejected or anything. I just kind of resent the whole non-contact thing. It kind of makes me wonder whether my emails got through...
The good news is that, while it's slightly further away than Rochester, I have a job offer for $18/hr over in Winona at the company where a friend of mine works. Excitement!
The less good news is that as an intern, I don't get any time off. This means that I won't be able to make CONvergence this year. Or at least, not until late Friday evening or Saturday. Unless nobody works Friday. I'll find out when I get there, I guess.
That said, I need to get looking for a place I can sublease for the summer. Winona being two and a half hours from here and an hour and a half from the home-place. Boo to double-rent. (read: Mika's lease won't let her sublet)
