It's funny how Cornell alters your sense of time. It's only been a few days, but I miss you all already. Brooke, we need to pay Soul Calibur 3 when I come back.

Missing two and a half days of number theory probably wouldn't be so bad if I had had time to read through what I've been missing. Somehow I doubt six hours in the car will be enough to catch me up just now. Unless the class has been going slowly still. Tim, can you confirm that? Meh, nevermind, I'll ask you tonight when I see you.

While here, I discovered some things of interest. My little brother adopted my random sound effect "mrf", and used it to avoid saying "nigger" while reading Huckleberry Finn out loud in class. For about the next week or two, his friends were using it as a racial slur. Though it's kind of hard to sound offensive when you're calling someone a mrf. Sounds a lot like smurf if you ask me. Also, I discovered that my great aunt Janet used to live in Mt. Vernon. She told me her old address. I will have to walk eastish some time and find it.

And now for something a bit more depressing. Grandmother's casket was pretty and metallic pink with roses on it. Pink was her favorite color. It was the color of her house in Florida, and it was the color of most of what she wore. Thankfully, all three of her living children had called her that morning. A strange and perhaps miraculous coincidence, considering that neither Dad nor uncle Bruce called their mother that frequently. No one really expected it to happen, but at least it was peaceful and hopefully painless. When I die, I would like to die taking an afternoon nap as she did.
